Installation with the wet bonding process

The self-adhesive foils are installed with the so-called wet bonding process: Thoroughly clean the surface to be glued and spray it with some installation liquid (release and lubricant agent). Peel off the protective foil on the back of the flat glass film and also spray the adhesive side with installation liquid. Then apply and position the wet coating on the wet window pane. Then squeeze everything bubble-free with a squeegee from the center to the edge and wipe everything dry, done. Any white discoloration of the adhesive disappears within a few days after it has completely dried out.

💡 Tip: The anti-burglary films are very thick. Therefore it is not possible to cut the foil to size on the glass pane. We therefore recommend cutting the foil to the exact window size before it is installed. If you wish we carry out the cutting for you.

Connection of anti-burglary films to the window frame

We recommend to connect anti-burglary films to the window frame. The connection ensures high resistance: the security foil is either laid under the glazing bead or a special silicone seal is applied, depending on the type of window. For this purpose, the film is installed next to the window frame. After that a silicone sealing is done along the foil edges and the window frame. The scratch-resistant surface of the safety film can easily be cleaned with conventional glass cleaning agents.
