Safety film with 1B1 splinter protection according to EN 12600:2000
The safety film is tear-resistant and sticks strongly to the glass surface. The window pane is held together in the event of force, preventing the glass pane from disintegrating into individual parts prematurely. Glass splinters stick to the film and are not thrown into the room. This gives windows and glass panes the properties of splinter-binding or impact-resistant glazing. The high-performance film therefore meets resistance class 1B1 according to EN 12600:2000.
Crystal-clear optics for a distortion-free view
The splinter protection film is self-adhesive and has a crystal-clear appearance, low light reflection and high UV protection. Objects are thus protected against premature fading caused by sun, spotlights and daylight. The specially hardened surface ensures a long service life; cleaning is carried out with conventional glass cleaning agents.

Application of the window film in just a few steps
The bubble-free application of the window film is carried out using the so-called wet adhesive process. Thoroughly clean the surface to be glued and spray it with some release and lubricant. Peel off the protective film on the back, spray the adhesive side and attach it to the glass surface. Using a squeegee, smooth everything out from the middle without any bubbles and wipe it dry, and you’re done. Any white discoloration of the adhesive will disappear within a few days.
Tip: Connecting the splinter protection film to the window frame ensures durability: depending on the window type, the safety film is either laid under the glazing bar or a special seal is applied. To do this, the film is mounted on the window frame and then a silicone border is applied to the film.
