Bird protection film with vertical orange lines

The bird protection film offers professional bird protection for larger glass surfaces. It prevents the often fatal collisions of birds on glass panes. The pattern consists of orange lines that are visible to humans and birds alike. The lines are arranged vertically and are perceived by birds as an obstacle. The result is that they can recognize the glued glass pane in good time and fly around it.

The bird protection design was tested in flight tunnel tests using the “Test method of the Hohenau-Ringeldorf Biological Station through Flight Tunnel II”. The certified orange lines, which are under the Eckelt 4BIRD®-V3048 pattern protection, are highly effective at preventing bird strikes on glass surfaces (approaches in the testing facility 3.9%). They therefore represent an ecologically sustainable solution for preventing fatal bird strikes.

Long durability and guarantee of the measure

The film is self-adhesive and resistant to humidity and condensation. It does not lose its adhesive strength even with large temperature fluctuations. Due to its high-quality workmanship, the bird protection film is durable for a long time. It has a scratch-resistant surface, which is a prerequisite for easy cleaning with conventional glass cleaning products.

The decisive factor are size and arrangement of the lines

• An important criterion for the success of the bird saving foil is, among other things, the thickness and the distance between the lines. The distances between the individual markings must not be changed in order not to impair the high level of effectiveness.

• We point out that individual widely spaced bird raptor silhouettes are not suitable for deterring birds from flying through. One reason is that the raptor silhouettes do not move and therefore do not have a deterrent effect. Another reason is that if the distance is too short, birds are pretended to be able to fly through.
