• Protection against sun glare: The sun control foil offers excellent glare prevention, thus facilitating the work on computer equipment and monitors. Distracting glare from the sun’s rays penetrating into the space and brightness can be reduced effectively, condition for a glare-free working.
• Protection of technical eqipment against overheating: Sensitive instruments and machines are effectively protected against overheating by the solar coating. Malfunctions in photoelectric sensors can be effectively avoided by the sun control foil.

• Production: In the manufacture of our sun control film a backing layer of polyester is coated with aluminum or with metals by sputtering. The metallized polyester layer is protected by a glass-clear, laminated polyester layer. The complete sun control foil has a protective foil on the underside. Beneath a self-adhesive layer is made of acrylic. The top of the sun control foil is finished with a scratch-resistant coating.
• Operation: The sun protection is caused by the reflection of the metal coatings and the absorption of solar radiation. Professionally applied to the outer or inner surface of the glass surface the solar coating reflects the sun rays, repels heat, glare, aggressive UV radiation. The heat inside the building is effectively reduced by sun control foil.
• High light transmission: The solar protection is very transparent for natural daylight. When viewed from outside to inside the human eye perceives – dependend on the sun prevention type – a slight to strong reflection of the sun control sheet, unwanted insights are prevented. When viewed from the inside to the outside, the laminate is perceived by the human eye only as a light tint.

Installation of the laminates on all smooth glass surfaces possible

The sun control films are ideally suited for retrospective application to all smooth glass surfaces. Depending on the type of glass we recommend the internal, external, or special installation:

• Interior installation: With normal single glazing and double glazing, we recommend the installation of the solar foil in the interior of the room. The sun control foil is not exposed to external weather conditions here, the extreme durability of the sun control foil is extended.
• Exterior installation: With heat-insulating glass, triple glazing, conservatories, skylights, sun control, noise control, safety glass, we recommend the installation on the outdoor side of the room. Thereby preventing the disc space is overheated and a stress crack in the glass produced.
• Special installation: With synthetic glass made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylic, polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), Perspex, Plexiglas, etc. we recommend the installation of our product DSS 220 KXtra. The model DSS 220 KXtra was specifically designed for the special characteristics of synthetic glass.
