The classic: Car wrapping & car tuning

Everyone knows carbon films from car wrapping or car wrapping. The most well-known are full vehicle wrapping and the bonding of individual car parts. This includes the bonnet but also other parts such as the car roof, tailgate, bumper, doors, loading sills or mirrors. These can be tuned with a carbon film and at the same time protected from scratches. The use of a carbon film is particularly worthwhile for leased vehicles – because it provides strong paint protection and prevents a lot of hassle and frustration when returning the lease.

Carbon films are becoming increasingly popular in another area: motorcycles, boats and caravans also get a strong carbon look in 3D-optics when they are tuned with a high-quality carbon film. In this area too, painted surfaces can be permanently protected against stone chips and scratches.

In the field of advertising technology, tuning films with a carbon look are increasingly used for decorative purposes and also for surface protection. Foiling: Carbon coating foilable on complex structures

The high-performance films can be ideally adapted to complex structures and are heat-resistant up to approx. +90° C. They are therefore ideal for optimized processing and flexible bonding.

Installtion on curved & round surfaces

The film can be bonded dry to flat or slightly wavy surfaces. We recommend wet installation of the car film on outward-curved (convex) curves. It may be necessary to carefully heat the carbon film with a hot air blower. The car film can then be shaped, pulled and adapted to the convex-shaped surface. In areas that are curved inwards (concave), we recommend cutting the film so that it can be coated to the vehicle’s corrugations without tension and without creating bubbles. This prevents the adhesive film from coming off again in the corrugations within a few weeks.

Carbon film removable without leaving residue

If the carbon film needs to be removed again, this is very easy after heating the film with a hot air gun.ch. There are practically no adhesive residues left on the vehicle body. Small adhesive residues are to be expected on boat hulls coated with gelcoat after the film has been removed. Any adhesive residues on the car can be removed with the Kuester KG cleaning concentrate. We recommend testing the compatibility of the car film with paints and varnishes before each application.
